Robin Williams is Back! – The Crazy Ones BTS (Video)

Every now and then we grow attached to an actor for their on-camera and/or off-camera character, and Robin Williams is one of them!

Hello old friend, and welcome back to television (insert hug here).

As an added bonus, Sarah Michelle Gellar is co-starring with the ex-Mork & Mindy star in CBS’s latest addition to comedy, The Crazy Ones. After watching the Behind The Scened promo below, we couldn’t help but laugh at the wild and zany antics of quintessential Williams…and we can’t wait to see more! Sarah and the rest of the cast can not only keep up with Robin, but they can also dish out some of their own “off-the-cuff” and highly entertaining riffs. Enough about the laughs, watch the video!

Robin Williams plays Zach Cropper, a confident and charming copywriter at the ad agency run by Simon and his daughter, Sydney (Gellar). According to the executive producers of the show, they feed Williams a few idea, point him in a direction, sit back and enjoy. That sounds like our guy!

That being said, make sure you take the time to sit back and enjoy this TV gem where in the pilot episode Kelly Clarkson makes an appearance…Double Bonus!!! The Crazy Ones, will be coming out this fall on CBS, so check your local listings!

A father-daughter workplace comedy set in the world of advertising.

The single-camera entry revolves around the dynamics between a father named Simon Roberts (Robin Williams) and his daughter named Sydney Roberts (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and is set in the world of advertising. Sydney Roberts´s described as pretty, intense, driven, organized and burdened with being practical. Sydney is the creative director and life and soul of the Roberts and Roberts Advertising Agency at the center of the comedy. She wants to be her father but is too busy having to parent him.

Boston Legal’s David E. Kelley will pen the 20th Television single-camera pilot and executive produce alongside Dean Lorey, Bill D’Elia, John Montgomery and Mark Teitelbaum. Jason Winer (Modern Family, 1600 Penn) will direct the pilot.

Political Animals alum James Wolk also co-stars as Zach Cropper, a copywriter at the agency.
